ramsbury

The shoot on the Ramsbury Estate is run over 4,500 acres covering North East Wiltshire, West Berkshire and North Hampshire. The shoot is set in the heart of the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The open country and large rolling fields are the main feature of this area, interspersed with beech woods and thorn hedges. High birds are often pushed over guns who stand in the valley bottoms.

The head keeper, Ian Candy, is one of the best around and puts on fantastic, entertaining days for clients looking for top grade shooting.

Guns meet at the purpose built shoot lodge for breakfast and a morning briefing, before heading off on the gun bus to the shoot. You should expect elevenses in the field whilst sampling the estate’s own gin & vodka, before heading back for lunch either at the end of the day or with a final drive to look forward to.

The award winning pub, The Bell, is in the heart of Ramsbury village and is the place to stay if you are looking for accommodation. We’ll arrange the gun bus to collect you and the team from here, leaving your vehicles in the car park.

In short, Ramsbury provides grown up stuff, with catering that matches the shooting.
