Hippenscombe covers 1,500 acres the Hampshire/Wiltshire border, 90 minutes from West London, with high hedges, deep valleys providing fantastic sport. The privacy of the estate is remarkable - you can only reach it by driving down the single track road in the middle of the valley. The shoot produces excellent quality birds, and topography make it one of the best partridge shoots within striking distance of London.
Hippenscombe is known for its partridge but later in the season the challenging pheasants swing out of the woodland at quite a height; there are no hedge hoppers here. The acres of land may not be as extensive as others, but for it’s easily one of the best.
