The trio of farms that make up the Tarrant shoot runs to 7,000 acres allow the Dorset-based team to deliver 50 drives and days of 150 birds upwards.

The shoot is south-west of Salisbury, under two & a half hours from the Fulham Road. We think it provides a cracking mix of partridge and pheasant days, with dedicated beats for both species. In fact, the variety & quality of the drives is Tarrant’s calling card.

Food on days is provided by the shoot owner’s wife, Emily. (A tip from the team here: go easy on the elevenses to ensure you have a little room to squeeze in three delicious courses.) The purpose built shoot lodge fits the bill perfectly, too.
